Position Snapshot

The Development Engineer will support technical aspects of the development, engineering, procurement, construction, and M&A activities in the US. The Development Engineer will perform technical due diligence on existing and proposed solar, energy storage, and wind projects; support permitting and preliminary design during early development; and coordinate with corporate technical resources to execute work.

Lead technical assessments for solar PV, wind, and energy storage projects
Support project acquisitions with constraint analysis, constructability reviews, and due diligence
Review site studies (Geotech, Hydrology, Environmental) for fatal flaws
Collaborate across teams on land acquisition, permitting, procurement, and interconnection
Prepare capital estimates and support financing, energy offtake, and M&A discussion
Drive engineering timelines and ensure projects stay on track and within budget
Conduct site visits and engage with local stakeholders
Stay ahead of renewable energy trends and technologies

Minimal Qualifications:

5+ years of engineering experience, including 2+ in utility-scale renewables
Bachelor’s in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred)
Deep knowledge of solar and storage design processes (10%/30%/60% IFC)
PE license or eligibility preferred
Strong communication, organization, and independent work skill
Proficiency in MS Office, Bluebeam, and PV design tools

Compensation & Benefits

The salary for this position typically ranges from the minimum to the mid-point annually, based on experience and qualifications.
