Mission

In Zelestra Latam, we are looking for a Site Manager to join the Chile Operations team, based at our Aurora Project (near Pozo Almonte, Tarapacá Region).
The main mission of this role is to plan and lead the construction project on site on behalf of the Zelestra Chile team (SPV), overseeing site personnel and managing resources and deadlines in line with the project schedule, applicable regulations, Zelestra’s internal guidelines, and the company’s standards and plans for occupational health and safety, quality, and the environment.
All of the above is aimed at ensuring the project is executed safely and efficiently, in preparation for commissioning.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the technical aspects (civil, electrical, and mechanical) of the project construction and/or interconnection infrastructure.
  • Plan and supervise compliance with the work schedule on site, managing personnel and materials required for this purpose.
  • Develop proposals for procedures, techniques, methods, and means to improve project performance and results.
  • Maintain communication with suppliers and contractors, focusing on progress control, resource management (purchases, etc.), and potential deviations.
  • Suggest and/or recommend the financial aspects of awarding contracts to subcontractors, ensuring budget compliance.
  • Verify progress in processing permits, licenses, and other required authorizations.
  • Carry out all people management activities related to the team (recruitment, onboarding, performance management, feedback delivery, among others).

Job Requirements

  • Electrical, Mechanical, or related Civil/Execution Engineer (or equivalent background).
  • At least 10 years of experience in the development and/or construction of renewable energy projects.
  • Experience working with international clients and suppliers.
  • Experience in the construction of energy storage systems (BESS) and new technologies.
  • Experience in the assessment, management, and mitigation of engineering- and contract-related risks within their scope.
  • Experience in direct management of employees, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Availability to work on site, under the established schedule (standard working hours).
  • Valid Class B driver’s license.
