Mission

At Zelestra, O&M Portafolio & Interconnection Site Manager Perú (based in La Joya, Arequipa, Perú) to lead, supervise, and ensure the optimal execution of operation and maintenance activities for the solar plants currently in operation in Peru. This role will also be responsible for supporting the integration process of new assets under bidding and/or construction, ensuring quality standards, contractual compliance, and operational excellence.

The role requires strategic management of the technical performance, availability, reliability, and productivity of the photovoltaic plants, ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory, and reporting obligations to the Business Unit. This leadership must be carried out within the framework of the highest standards of safety, occupational health, environment, and quality defined by the company.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate O&M activities.
• Optimize corrective maintenance times and ensure compliance with the Annual Maintenance Plan and PV and Substation KPIs, using management tools such as Fracttal.
• Manage and control the OPEX budget associated with the O&M service, both for internal and third-party resources.
• Coordinate the integration of the plants under your responsibility, ensuring the proper handover of documentation, contracts, and provisional acceptance certificates.
• Participate in and lead the operational readiness of assets in the pre-COD stage (Punch List, CAP, spares, etc.).
• Ensure quality control of services, inspections, and contractual obligations, applying industry best practices.
• Supervise compliance with contractual warranties associated with O&M.
• Coordinate and ensure the successful completion of the EPC Final Acceptance Tests (FAC).
• Supervise the procurement of major equipment, approve the selection of subcontractors, and ensure efficient inventory management.
• Manage the purchase and optimal use of materials, spare parts, and critical supplies.
• Supervise the availability, efficiency, and technical performance of the plants, comparing them against the expected contractual levels.
• Ensure the accuracy, calibration, and traceability of instrumentation equipment and the electrical substation.
• Analyze maintenance KPIs, identifying deviations, failures, or critical events.
• Coordinate switching operations with ROC-LATAM and the grid operator.
• In coordination with the Safety, Health, Environment, and Civil Responsibility Coordinator, promote a prevention culture and ensure safe practices in all team activities.
• Implement actions that contribute to achieving the company’s Safety, Health, and Environment objectives.
• Know, apply, and enforce current regulations and internal occupational prevention and protection procedures.
• Fully integrate safety and health management into all operational processes within the area under your responsibility.

Job Requirements

• Electrical Engineer or related field.
• More than 10 years of experience in the electrical sector, with participation in solar plant, substation, and medium- and high-voltage line projects, and a solid understanding of operations from control centers.
• At least 5 years of verifiable experience in management/leadership roles in operation and maintenance within the renewable energy sector is required.
• Availability to travel frequently both within the area of responsibility and to headquarters offices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Proficiency in SCADA systems / Substation SCADA / Tracker systems.
• Proficiency in relay configuration software.
• Basic knowledge of DIgSILENT.
• Knowledge of IV curves.
• Knowledge of thermography.
• Valid A-1 driver’s license.
