Mission

The student will join Zelestra’s M&A team in Bilbao with a 100% focus on a strategic initiative to implement artificial intelligence (AI) tools applied to the analysis of investment opportunities in the renewable energy sector.

 

The role will involve designing, developing and integrating an ecosystem of AI agents to automate and improve internal due diligence processes, working with multidisciplinary teams across the company and external technology providers.

 

This internship will provide hands-on experience in a business transformation project with direct impact on M&A, combining AI, automation, data analysis and renewable energy investment processes in an international and highly innovative environment.

 

 

Internship activities

In this internship, you will play an active role in the next activities:

 

  • Support the design, development and testing of AI tools for M&A and internal due diligence.
  • Contribute to the development and integration of an ecosystem of AI agents aimed at automating analysis tasks and improving workflow efficiency.
  • Structure, document and optimise workflows for the review, classification, extraction and synthesis of information.
  • The optimization of the management and processing of technical, legal, and financial documentation.
  • Test and evaluate different generative AI, automation and data analysis solutions, assessing their business value and integration potential.
  • Support the automation of repetitive tasks and the creation of reusable prompts, templates and process documentation.
  • Identify new use cases for AI that can improve the quality, speed and traceability of M&A activities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary internal teams and external technology providers during solution design and implementation.
  • Prepare clear documentation, presentations and progress updates on use cases, tests and results.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the tools and processes implemented, incorporating user feedback and lessons learned.

 

 

Internship requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree student in the final year or recent graduate in Computer Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Industrial Engineering, Telecommunications, Business Administration, Economics, Finance or a related field.
  • A master’s degree or additional training in Artificial Intelligence will be valued.
  • Availability to formalize an internship agreement with a university or educational institution.

 

Technical skills

  • Solid knowledge of generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Claude and similar solutions.
  • Understanding of AI agents, task automation and workflow design.
  • Ability to analyze, structure and synthesize large volumes of information.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

 

Languages

  • Native or bilingual Spanish.
  • High level of English, minimum C1, both written and spoken.

 

Previous Experience

  • Previous professional experience is not required.
  • Academic projects, personal projects or previous exposure to AI, automation, data analysis, finance, investment or M&A will be valued.

What we offer

  • Internship Agreement: Availability to sign a collaboration agreement with your university or training center

  • Working hours: Full-time
  • Location: 100% on-site. Bilbao Office (Alameda Urquijo, 13) 
  • Duration: Maximum duration permitted by the candidate’s academic program
  • Remuneration: Paid Internship
