Mission

As an Intern within Zelestra’s Development team, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the development of an innovative solar energy project that will be hybridized with battery energy storage systems (BESS) in the Basque Country, in collaboration with the Basque Energy Agency (EVE).


This internship is designed to provide exposure to the full project development lifecycle, allowing you to learn about stakeholder management, permitting processes, regulatory requirements, and the key activities involved in bringing renewable energy projects to life.

 

 

Responsibilities

During the internship, you will develop practical knowledge through involvement in activities such as:

 

  • Assisting with communications with landowners regarding the negotiation and execution of land agreements.
  • Supporting the preparation and organization of project documentation, administrative submissions, official communications, and reporting materials.
  • Collaborating with the team in activities related to obtaining permits, licenses, and regulatory approvals required for project development.
  • Participating in project progress meetings with the Basque Energy Agency (EVE) and other relevant stakeholders, gaining exposure to institutional engagement processes.
  • Providing support in the preparation of technical and administrative documentation, as well as coordinating with external consultants, suppliers, and other project partners.

 

 

Internship Requirements

Education 

We welcome candidates from a variety of academic backgrounds. Technical studies are valued but not required. Examples include: Engineering (any discipline); Business Administration, Law, Economics or other related fields.

 

Technical Skills

  • Basque (Euskera) is desirable but not required.
  • English: Intermediate level (B2) preferred.

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including public and institutional bodies.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with an interest in preparing professional documentation and formal correspondence.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and openness to receiving guidance and feedback.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Interest in renewable energy sector, with a strong motivation to learn and grow professionally within the sector.
  • Ability to adapt to dynamic environments and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

 

Previous Experience
No previous professional experience is required. We are looking for motivated students or recent graduates who are eager to learn and start their careers in the renewable energy sector.

 

 

 

Internship Conditions

  • Internship Agreement: A collaboration agreement with you university or educational institution. In addition, successful completion of the internship may lead to continued employment under an internship contract, subject to business needs and performance. If it is not possible for you to submitt an internship agreement from the beginning, you may join directly under an internship employment contract, subject to eligibility and local regulations.
  • Start Date: September 2026.
  • Working hours: Full-time (40 hours per week); part-time arrangements are not available.
  • Location: 100% office-based (Alameda de Urquijo 13, Bilbao)
  • Duration: Maximum duration permitted by the candidate’s academic program or eligibility requirements.
  • Paid Internship.
