Mission
You will join Zelestra’s Stakeholders and Sustainability area to support the implementation of the company’s sustainability initiatives, providing daily administrative and operational assistance. You will participate in maintaining documentation, preparing reports and presentations, monitoring key sustainability indicators, and supporting internal processes and system.
Main Activities
You will carry out the activities described below, integrating generative AI tools and AI agents as a core part of the role, contributing to the design of more efficient processes, task automation, and the generation of innovative solutions.
- You will participate in the implementation of the sustainability strategy and in monitoring the actions and indicators included in the Sustainability Dashboard.
- You will support the deployment of the sustainability plan across the Business Units, helping them gain autonomy in execution and taking responsibility for monitoring and reporting at corporate level.
- You will collaborate on sustainability projects and social impact initiatives, with a special focus on emissions measurement, climate-related workstreams and the ongoing development of the company’s decarbonization strategy
- You will assist in sustainability assessment processes carried out by rating agencies, banks, or other external stakeholders.
- You will participate in the preparation and review of the non-financial information statement, the extended sustainability report, or any other external reports, including the Communication on Progress for the United Nations Global Compact.
- You will collaborate on joining certifications, initiatives, and working groups at both national and international level.
- You will prepare meeting materials, presentations, and minutes for the sustainability committees: Executive Sustainability Committee, Sustainability Committee with EQT, and Operational Sustainability Committee.
- You will oversee supplier onboarding through SAP Ariba and Achilles and manage invoice processing for the Sustainability department.
- You will prepare submissions for sustainability awards and coordinate cross-functional efforts to identify and support high-potential applications from other areas and Business Units.
- You will contribute to the development of corporate sustainability policies and frameworks.
- You will support internal communication and awareness initiatives to foster a culture of sustainability.
- You will carry out benchmarking and research on sustainability trends, peer company performance, regulatory developments, and stakeholder expectations.
Job Requirements
- We are looking for someone who has completed or is currently pursuing a university degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
- You should have an advanced level of English, ideally C1 or above, as you will take part in initiatives and work with documentation with an international scope. Strong Excel skills are also essential, and previous experience using SAP will be considered a plus.
- You should also have an advanced command of generative AI tools, such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or similar, including the use of AI agents to automate tasks, analyze information, and optimize processes.
- You will be a great fit if you are autonomous, proactive, organized, creative, and have strong critical thinking skills, a growth mindset, and a genuine eagerness to learn. You will be involved in cross-functional projects, so it will be important that you enjoy collaborating with different teams and have strong communication skills.
What we offer
- You will join Zelestra’s Stakeholders and Sustainability area, reporting to the Sustainability Director.
- The expected start date will be October 2026, and the ideal duration will be equivalent to a full academic year, if possible.
- The internship will be on-site at the Bilbao Headquarters, located at Alameda de Urquijo 13.
- It will be essential to formalize an internship agreement with your university or educational institution.
- The internship will include paid.
- It will not be possible to work on your TFG/TFM during internship hours.
