Position Snapshot
The FP&A Manager plays a strategic role in optimizing financial performance across the organization’s renewable energy portfolio. This role supports financial strategy development, forecasting, performance analytics, and value-driven decision support for utility-scale renewable energy assets. The position partners closely with the FP&A Director, Development, Operations, Engineering, and commercial teams to ensure strong financial discipline, operational efficiency, and long-term value creation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or similar field; MBA or MS preferred
- 5+ years of financial analysis, FP&A, FPM, or strategy experience; renewable energy or utilities experience strongly preferred
- Strong financial modeling skills, including driver‑based forecasting and scenario analysis.
Position Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Performance
- Support financial strategy for utility‑scale renewables. Track KPIs and value targets across assets and portfolios. Assess returns, risks, and cost‑optimization opportunities to guide capital allocation.
Forecasting, Budgeting & Modeling
- Develop and maintain long‑range and driver‑based financial models. Support budgeting, reforecasting, and performance cycles. Incorporate market trends, production variability, PPA terms, and regulatory factors.
Reporting & Insights
- Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports. Present results, variances, and improvement insights. Build dashboards to enhance visibility into asset and portfolio health.
Business Partnership & Decision Support
- Partner with Development, Engineering, Construction, Operations, and PMO on economics and KPIs. Provide financial input for PPAs, merchant strategy, M&A, and offtake deals. Identify risks and recommend mitigations.
Process Improvement & Systems
- Implement scalable financial processes, tools, and frameworks. Enhance data quality, automation, and reporting accuracy. Ensure compliance with controls, policies, and audit standards.
Ad Hoc Analysis
- Support scenario and sensitivity modeling and profitability assessments. Conduct deep dives on performance issues or market impacts. Contribute to executive planning, financing efforts, and growth initiatives.
Compensation & Benefits
The anticipated starting salary for this position is based on experience, qualifications, and education in a remote-working environment: $127,500 - $140,000 base salary.
