MAKING DECARBONIZATION A REALITY

Mission:

The Manager – Civil will be responsible for end-to-end civil execution of utility-scale solar EPC projects, including site development, foundation works, control room buildings, internal roads, drainage systems, and coordination with electrical and mechanical teams. The role ensures quality construction, adherence to timelines, and compliance with safety and design standards.

Responsibilities:

1. Site Development & Earthwork

• Lead site grading, leveling, cutting & filling activities.
• Oversee road construction, drainage systems, and stormwater management.
• Ensure proper land development as per approved drawings.

2. Foundations & Structural Works

• Supervise module mounting structure (MMS) foundations (RCC/pile foundations).
• Manage inverter foundations, transformer plinths, RMU foundations.
• Oversee construction of control rooms, switchyard civil works, and boundary walls.

3. Planning & Execution

• Prepare civil execution plan and resource deployment schedule.
• Monitor daily progress and ensure milestone achievement.
• Coordinate with design team for drawing approvals and revisions.

4. Quantity & Cost Control

• Verify BOQs and monitor material consumption.
• Control wastage and ensure cost-effective execution.
• Support billing certification and subcontractor measurements.

5. Quality Assurance

• Ensure compliance with structural drawings and technical specifications.
• Conduct cube testing, soil compaction tests, and quality inspections.
• Maintain proper documentation and QA/QC records.

6. Coordination & Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate with electrical and mechanical teams for integrated execution.
• Manage subcontractors and site engineers.
• Participate in client meetings and progress reviews.

7. Safety & Compliance

• Ensure strict adherence to HSE policies.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Maintain statutory compliance at site.

Job Requirements:

Educational Qualification

• BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering (Mandatory)

Experience Required

• 8–15 years of experience in infrastructure/solar EPC projects.
• Minimum 3–5 years in utility-scale solar project civil execution.
• Experience in ground-mounted solar projects preferred.

Technical Skills

• Site grading & earthwork management
• RCC & pile foundation execution
• Switchyard civil works
• Quantity surveying & billing coordination
• Knowledge of AutoCAD/MS Project (preferred)
