Position Overview

The Investments Manager will play a key role in supporting Zelestra’s Business Development, Commercial, Project Finance, and M&A teams by leading financial modeling and contributing to the financial structuring of utility‑scale renewable energy assets.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Finance or Economics, MBA or Masters are preferred. 
  • 5+ years of experience in transactional areas of corporate finance or investment banking in financial institution, consulting, or industrial company.
  • Knowledge of financing in the "Project Finance" modality.
  • Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication, delivering clear, timely, and transparent updates that keep stakeholders well informed. 
  • Strong Excel financial modeling skills, with the ability to build, analyze, and interpret complex models with accuracy and clarity. 
  • Experience in creating and updating complex financial models such as infrastructure / renewable energy (solar, or wind, and BESS).
  • Use of market data to model financial structures for renewable energy assets
  • Financial model expertise, modelling best practices will be highly valued.
  • The ability to learn quickly across the organization, taking initiative, and contributing to a high-performingfast-paced environment.   
  • Willingness to use AI tools to help create process efficiencies

 

Position Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain the financial model and asset/project valuations, including implementing updates and running a variety of business scenarios to assess project viability.
  • Support Business Development team on the valuation evolution of the portfolio assets and potential investment opportunities that will arise.
  • Advise and support our Commercial team to assess the required energy sale price required to meet at least our minimum return IRRs.
  • Participate in the elaboration of the presentations to the Investment Committee and the Board of Directors for investment approvals.
  • Support Zelestra’s central areas for reporting purposes to add tracking and reporting of returns for operational projects. 

Compensation & Benefits

The salary for this position will be based on the candidate's experience and qualifications based on a remote-working environment, and takes into consideration, among other things, the geographic area in which the candidate resides. The initial annual salary range is: $145,000 - $175,000.
