Mission

We are looking for a Site Manager to join the Operations Peru team at Zelestra Latam, based at our Babilonia Project (near La Joya, Arequipa, Peru).

The main mission of this role will be to plan and lead the on-site execution of the project during its construction phase on behalf of the Zelestra Chile (SPV) team, overseeing on-site personnel and the management of resources and schedules, in line with project planning, applicable regulations, safety and occupational health standards and plans, quality and environmental requirements, and Zelestra’s internal guidelines. All of the above is aimed at ensuring the Project is executed safely and efficiently as it moves toward commissioning.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the technical aspects (civil, electrical, and mechanical) of the project construction and/or interconnection infrastructure.
  • Plan and oversee compliance with the work plan to be carried out on site, managing the personnel and materials required for this purpose.
  • Develop proposals for procedures, techniques, methods, and tools to improve project performance and outcomes.
  • Maintain communication with suppliers and contractors, focusing on progress control, resource management (purchasing, etc.), and potential deviations.
  • Suggest and/or recommend the financial aspects of contract awards to subcontractors, ensuring budget compliance.
  • Verify progress in processing permits, licenses, and other required authorizations.
  • Carry out all required people-management activities for the team (recruitment, onboarding, performance management, feedback, among others).

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the development and/or construction of renewable energy projects.
  • Experience working with international clients and suppliers.
  • Experience in the construction of energy storage systems (BESS) and new technologies.
  • Experience in assessing, managing, and mitigating engineering- and contract-related risks within their area.
  • Experience in direct management of employees, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Availability to work on site at the Project, within the established working schedule (standard working hours).
  • Valid driver’s license (A-1).
