Position Overview
The Program Director will provide strategic leadership and managerial oversight for our renewable energy programs. This role involves developing and implementing initiatives that drive the growth and success of our renewable energy projects.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in program management, in the renewable energy sector.
- Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- In-depth understanding of renewable energy technologies, market trends, and regulatory frameworks.
Position Responsibilities
- Coordinate cross-functional communication within Zelestra to ensure alignment and timely project execution
- Identify and address financial deviations promptly to keep the project aligned with budgetary goals.
- Oversee project delivery in compliance with Power Purchase Agreements and client commitments.
- Ensure project design and execution align with contractual obligations, environmental standards, and company policies.
- Lead the negotiation and execution of major contracts such as EPC, supply, O&M, asset management, financial, and development agreements.
- Establish and allocate project resources, building effective teams with clearly defined roles and responsibilities.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure financial, schedule, quality, and safety targets are met.
- Develop and maintain a risk management plan, continuously evaluating risks and opportunities to optimize project performance.
- Assume full ownership of the project from advanced development through commercial operations.
- Share performance data and process insights with other business units to support continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with planning teams to build and manage schedules, minimizing delays and ensuring milestone achievement.
- Support the Finance team during funding and due diligence, tracking financial performance against agreed KPIs.
- Represent Zelestra in all interactions with external stakeholders, including public institutions, local communities, lenders, owners, and independent engineers.
Compensation & Benefits
The salary for this position will be based on the candidate's experience and qualifications based on a remote-working environment, and takes into consideration, among other things, the geographic area in which the candidate resides. The initial annual salary range is: $150,000 - $190,000.
