Mission
As Electrical Specialist you will contribute to the development, definition, and coordination of electrical engineering activities related to the design of renewable plants under development and construction.
Responsibilities
- Design LV and MV electrical installations for photovoltaic and BESS projects (and renewable plants in general), including bid preparation and the technical management of procurement for electrical components and equipment.
- Design evacuation infrastructures for renewable plants (layouts, calculations, and electrical measurements).
- Design Switching Substations and Step-up Substations in accordance with international and local regulations. Design MV Substation electrical systems and Transformer/Inverter Substations (DC/AC), including equipment, control, and protection systems.
- Supervise basic or conceptual engineering, construction, and detailed engineering.
- Prepare technical requirements for equipment procurement and specifications for contracting detailed engineering and/or construction of evacuation infrastructures.
- Perform technical–economic evaluations of bids for electrical components and interconnection installations.
- Prepare technical requirements for equipment procurement, project tenders, and conduct technical–economic evaluations of offers for electrical components.
- Support project managers and project principals as part of multidisciplinary project teams.
- Provide electrical engineering technical support to projects at various stages (from feasibility to preliminary and detailed design, construction, and operational phases).
- Contribute to the preparation of high‑quality technical reports and specification documents, ensuring the application of relevant standards.
- Coordinate with different engineering disciplines and technical project managers regarding engineering needs and delivery requirements.
- Attend meetings with clients and suppliers on engineering matters under his/her responsibility.
- Visit project sites to coordinate and witness testing and commissioning activities established in the project quality plans.
- Contribute to achieving the company’s QHSE objectives and goals.
- Be familiar with and comply with all regulations, manuals, and procedures relevant to the role.
- Ensure the quality of delivered work.
Job Requirements
- Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in engineering companies performing similar functions in the renewable energy sector (photovoltaics, solar thermal, biomass, wind, etc.)
- Native Italian speaker Advanced level of English (minimum C1, written and spoken)
- Proactive, independent, curious, and dynamic mindset
