Mission
We are looking for a Junior Execution Project Manager to support the execution of utility-scale Solar PV and BESS projects in Italy, from NTP to COD, acting as Deputy Project Manager. You will contribute to planning, cost control, contract administration and site coordination, progressively taking direct responsibility for work packages or smaller projects. This is a development role: you will be exposed to the full project lifecycle, work closely with EPC contractors, suppliers, TSO/DSO and internal teams, and be trained on Zelestra's execution standards to grow into a future Project Manager. Based in Rome, with frequent site visits across Italy.
Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Control: support the master schedule, progress reports and CAPEX monitoring; verify progress data from contractors and Site Managers, flag deviations and maintain the risk register.
- Contract & Document Management: support the administration of EPC, BoP and supply contracts (milestones, change orders, claims), manage the documentation flow and review contractor deliverables with Engineering and QHSE.
- Site Coordination, Grid Connection & Commissioning: join site inspections and coordination meetings, prepare TSO/DSO connection and energization documentation, and assist in commissioning, performance tests, punch-list and handover to O&M.
- HSE, Quality & Compliance: monitor HSE compliance (D.Lgs. 81/08), permits and environmental prescriptions, and support QA/QC activities including FAT/SAT and non-conformity tracking.
- Reporting & Stakeholder Support: prepare inputs for reports to Management, investors, lenders and technical advisors, and support communication with authorities, municipalities and local stakeholders.
Job Requirements
- Education & Experience: Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Energy, Mechanical or Civil); 1-3 years in construction, engineering or project control of energy/infrastructure projects, or a recent graduate with relevant internship or thesis experience (PV/BESS valued); basic knowledge of PV and BESS components and grid connection; interest in working on site.
- Technical & Project Management Skills: good command of MS Office (advanced Excel); MS Project, AutoCAD, PMI-CAPM and knowledge of the Italian permitting and HSE framework (AU/PAS, D.Lgs. 81/08) are a plus.
- Languages: native or C2 Italian; good working English (minimum B1).
- Soft Skills: proactive, curious and eager to learn; accurate and organized with data and documents; team player with good communication skills; available to travel across Italy and work on site.
