Mission

As Project Finance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the bankability of projects under development, securing and executing financing for assets under construction, and overseeing loan compliance for projects in operation across the renewable energy portfolio within Zelestra’s Business Unit.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead processes to secure financing for new projects within the BU, including the selection of financiers, coordination of due diligence, supervision of financial models, and negotiation of financing and project contracts
  • Support the BU’s Commercial area by providing bankability assessments for offtake opportunities.
  • Support the BU’s Product area by providing bankability assessments for product strategies.
  • Support the BU’s Business Development area by conducting preliminary bankability and financing checks for new projects.
  • Oversee post-financing obligations, including loan compliance, covenant monitoring, and reporting to lenders.
  • Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks across the portfolio.
  • Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams across Italy and corporate headquarters.
  • Ensure best practices and consistency in project finance and loan monitoring processes.

 

 

Job Requirements

Desired education:

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field
  • Complementary education: CFA, MBA, or other relevant financial certification.
  • English C1

 

Previous Experience:

 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project finance, structured finance, or corporate banking (preferably in the renewable energy or infrastructure sectors).
  • Proven track record leading complex debt financing transactions.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills (Excel proficiency required).
  • Solid understanding of loan documentation, covenants, and financial compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English and Italian.
  • Experience managing lender relationships and financial reporting obligations.
  • Previous experience working in international energy or infrastructure companies.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with a hands-on approach.
  • Passion for renewable energy and sustainability
