Mission
We are looking for a Structuring Senior Manager to join the commercial team, reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of the Italy Business Unit. The role will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and structuring complex energy sales transactions, ensuring financial viability and optimizing the profitability of Zelestra’s projects. This position combines financial expertise, knowledge of energy markets, and strategic negotiation skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead the structuring and execution of energy sales agreements (PPAs) and other related contracts.
- Develop and maintain advanced financial models to assess project profitability and risks for solar and BESS projects.
- Analyze various commercial and financing structures to maximize the economic efficiency of projects.
- Collaborate closely with development, finance, and legal teams to ensure proper contract implementation.
- Participate in the negotiation of commercial terms with clients, investors, and financial counterparties.
- Identify opportunities to optimize revenues, risks, and costs within the project portfolio.
- Stay up-to-date on energy market trends, regulations, and renewable energy support mechanisms.
- Support the CCO in defining commercial strategies and making investment and project structuring decisions.
Job Requirements
- University degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Minimum of +10 years of experience in energy project structuring, preferably in renewables (solar, BESS) and PPAs.
- Proven commercial experience in renewable energy markets, with particular emphasis on BESS and tolling agreements.
- Strong knowledge of financial modeling, risk analysis, and energy project valuation.
- Experience negotiating complex commercial and financial contracts.
- Experience in dispatchable assets, with the ability to assess operational flexibility and optionality in valuation and dispatch strategies, is a plus.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary, and results-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for interaction with clients, investors, and internal stakeholders.
- Native Italian. Advanced English (spoken and written). Spanish is a plus.
