Mission

We are looking for a Business Applications Architect to be the technical reference for Zelestra's corporate applications ecosystem. The selected candidate will combine strategic architecture vision with hands-on technical work: designing end-to-end solutions on SAP BTP, governing integrations with S/4HANA Public Cloud and Line of Business modules (Ariba, SuccessFactors, Concur), leading identity management with Azure AD, and ensuring the operational stability of the production environment.

The role has two inseparable dimensions: architecture and operations. It is not just about designing how systems should work, but ensuring they work well every day, that incidents are resolved correctly, and that every change is managed with rigor and methodology.

TECHNOLOGY CONTEXT

We operate a growing SAP Cloud-First ecosystem. The person will work with the following platform:

ERP Core: SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud
Procurement: SAP Ariba (Sourcing, Buying, Supplier Lifecycle)
HCM: SAP SuccessFactors
T&E: SAP Concur
Platform: SAP BTP, SAP Build Work Zone, SAP Cloud Identity Services (IAS/IPS)
Integration: SAP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration, API Management, Event Mesh)
CRM: Salesforce (Sales Cloud / Service Cloud)
Identity: Azure Active Directory / Entra ID
AI & Automation: SAP AI Core / AI Launchpad, RPA, intelligent agents

Responsibilities

Architecture & Solution Design

Define and maintain the target architecture of the SAP ecosystem, ensuring consistency across S/4HANA Public Cloud, LoB modules and the BTP extension layer, aligned with the Clean Core principle.
Establish reusable reference patterns for integration, identity, security and deployment, standardizing BTP architecture across business units.

SAP BTP, Integration Suite & IAS/IPS

Lead the design and governance of SAP BTP (subaccounts, CF/Kyma, entitlements, connectivity) and maintain SAP Integration Suite as the backbone of enterprise integrations.
Manage SAP IAS/IPS (identity providers, authentication, conditional access) and the certificate lifecycle, leading the integration with Azure Active Directory.

Functional Support & Incident Resolution

Analyze, diagnose and resolve day-to-day incidents in payments, bank statement uploads, approval workflows and system connectivity (Ariba, Concur, BTP, SuccessFactors, Salesforce).
Handle configuration adjustments, master data errors and controlled changes following a structured methodology: testing, functional validation, transport to production and documentation.

Identity Governance & Automation

Lead the review of SAP roles and authorizations (segregation of duties, excessive privileges) and coordinate automated offboarding processes with HR and IT Security.
Implement automations to reduce manual effort in operations and compliance, incorporate AI capabilities (SAP AI Core, RPA agents) and drive DevOps/CI-CD practices on BTP.

Technical Leadership

Lead the internal team of SAP and Salesforce specialists, manage external AMS vendors and act as technical reference for Digital, business and implementation partner teams.
Maintain technical documentation (ADRs, integration catalog, runbooks) and report to IT management on operational KPIs and architecture status.

Job Requirements

Required:

Demonstrable experience as a SAP Solution Architect or senior technical profile in SAP Cloud environments (S/4HANA Public Cloud and/or LoB modules).
Deep knowledge of SAP BTP architecture: subaccounts, entitlements, Cloud Foundry/Kyma, destinations, connectivity, IAS/IPS, Build Work Zone.
Strong command of SAP Integration Suite (Cloud Integration, API Management) and integration patterns (sync/async, events, REST/OData/SOAP APIs).
Experience in SAP functional support post go-live: incident resolution, transport management and controlled change methodology (test, validation, production).
Experience with approval workflows, master data governance and banking connectivity in SAP environments.
Ability to think in terms of standardization, automation and technical debt reduction.
Advanced English; Spanish is a plus.

Nice to have:

Experience with SAP AI Core / AI Launchpad, SAP Joule and RPA agents applied to process automation.
Experience with SAP Build (Apps, Process Automation, Work Zone).
Knowledge of Azure Active Directory / Entra ID: SAML/OIDC federation, Conditional Access and identity lifecycle management.
Experience in Salesforce administration (profiles, permission sets, SSO).
Knowledge of SAP Multi-Bank Connectivity.
Knowledge of TOGAF or other enterprise architecture frameworks.
Previous experience in the industrial, energy or renewables sector.
SAP certifications in BTP, Integration Suite or Technology Associate.

Personal Profile: We are looking for someone proactive and results-driven, with strong analytical skills and an end-to-end process vision. A structured and rigorous person in change management, capable of investigating complex problems until finding the root cause — not just the symptom. Someone with the judgment to prioritize, the autonomy to work in complex environments, and the ability to coordinate with functional, technical, GBS, IT and business teams. Equally comfortable designing an integration architecture and resolving a critical incident at 8 in the morning.
