Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Controlling plays a critical role in managing accounting and financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, regulatory compliance, and internal controls for Zelestra US. Reporting to the Head of Tax & Accounting, this position provides key support to senior leadership and other departments by delivering forward-looking analyses, building driver-based financial models, implementing processes, preparing, and presenting financial reports and presentations, and other ad hoc requests that assists in the development and execution of the Company's Projects, contributing to the increase in the value of Zelestra.
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar field;
- CPA, or Actively Pursuing – preferred.
- 7+ years progressive accounting experience.
- Ability to take ownership of multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
- Prior renewable energy experience preferred.
- Highest level of personal and professional integrity.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Experience with ERP systems; SAP preferred.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate complex financial data clearly
- Proven attention to detail, organizational discipline, and critical thinking
- Self-starter with strong time management and leadership presence
Position Responsibilities
- Oversee US accounting functions, including general ledger, financial reporting, consolidations, and technical accounting.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS requirements.
- Maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance standards.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, tax reporting, and financial reviews.
- Monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial performance, providing variance analysis.
- Oversee the procure-to-pay (P2P) process, ensuring accurate invoice processing, approvals, and timely payments.
- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including reconciliations and reporting.
- Partner with the offshore GBS accounting team to improve efficiency, standardization, and automation of accounting processes.
Compensation and Benefits
The anticipated starting salary for this role is $175,000 annual plus a competitive bonus structure. Actual pay will vary depending on job-related factors, such as the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
