Your Mission
You will report to the Planning and Control Senior Manager, this role will lead project planning in Southern Europe (Spain and Italy) and Latin America (Chile, Colombia, Peru, and Ecuador). The position is responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring project schedules to ensure that all project phases are completed on time. The role is key to coordinating with different departments and stakeholders to track progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective measures to keep projects on schedule.
Responsibilities
• Initial Project Planning:
Develop high-level schedules for all projects based on procedures established by the project management team or company standards, using tools such as MS Project and/or Primavera.
• Comprehensive Project Understanding:
Have a deep understanding of the lifecycle of an energy generation project, from inception to commercial operation date (COD), to ensure accurate scheduling and timely project completion.
• Contractual Schedule Management:
For third-party EPC projects, integrate the project schedule into the contract, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned with key deadlines.
For internal projects, maintain the schedule as a primary reference to prevent delays that could negatively impact the company’s financial results.
• Facilitating Cross-Department Communication:
Act as the central communication point between engineering, procurement, and construction teams, ensuring they provide timely updates on their progress.
Monitor and track project deadlines, ensuring timely completion, and quickly address any delays by coordinating with the relevant teams.
• Schedule Updates and Critical Path Analysis:
Periodically update project schedules for the Program Director or Investment Committee, ensuring all changes are accurately reflected.
Identify critical paths within project schedules, evaluate different scenarios, and recommend corrective actions as needed.
• Process Automation and Standardization:
Have knowledge and experience with process automation tools, as well as expertise in designing, documenting, and implementing operational and methodological standards.
• Project Financial Planning and Monitoring:
Actively participate in the preparation and control of project cash flows, integrating schedule, budget, and physical progress for financial forecasting and variance control.
Job Requirements
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Advanced English: high level
- MS Project, Primavera P6
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the solar or renewable energy EPC construction sector.
